WAYOU is an elegant three-piece glass set that combines Japanese craftsmanship with modern Taiwanese design. It is made by the renowned manufacturer Hirota Glass - one of Japan's most traditional glass manufacturers. The aburidashi technique is used, in which opalescent, coloured patterns are created in the glass with the help of pattern moulds. Hirota Glass was founded in Tokyo in 1899 and is one of the few workshops that still masters this sophisticated glassmaking technique today.

The set was designed by the Taiwanese studio HEY SHENG CHI SI, which has won over 20 international design awards - including the Red Dot Design Award, iF Design Award, Good Design Award Japan and the Golden Pin Design Award.
