The small paperweights called "Solacubes" are manufactured by Usagi no Nedoko Inc. in Kyoto, Japan. They showcase beautifully preserved plant specimens encased in a transparent cube, highlighting their natural beauty. Collected and carefully selected by hand, the flowers and plant parts are dried using a series of sophisticated techniques before being embedded in clear acrylic resin. Each finished piece is then individually polished.
The fluffy, round sphere of the dandelion is particularly fascinating—delicate yet filled with high-performance parachutes. When it rains, the dandelion closes like an umbrella, and when it dries, it opens again, releasing its seeds into the sky.
