These small candles by the Japanese manufacturer DAIYO are made from natural rice bran wax. DAIYO has been making traditional Japanese candles in Shiga Prefecture since 1914. The company combines traditional craftsmanship with natural materials. The wick is carefully crafted from washi paper, rush grass and silk fibres. The plant-based wax produces a steady flame with little smoke or soot.
