This small Mamezara (a small dish for condiments, side dishes, or pickles) made of tin is designed by Shuya Sumitani and handcrafted at the 'Saburo Sumitani' workshop in Takaoka, Japan. The Toyama region is renowned for its metal casting industry, which has its roots in bronze craftsmanship dating back over 400 years.

There are two versions of the Mamezara inspired by historical patterns: Nejiriume (a depiction of the plum blossom featuring petals that overlap and spiral toward the center) and Mokko (a floral design based on a blend of a melon, a bird's nest, and a quince blossom).
