'Hohto' is a design by Belgian-Japanese textile designer Elisa Defossez Kikuchi. 'Hohto' (Finnish for "glow, shimmer") is inspired by soft sunlight filtering through the trees – also known as "komorebi" in Japanese. The striped pattern evokes the many rays of light filtering through the foliage, but could also be interpreted as a reminder of the rhythm of the trees in the forest. The generous cloth can be used as a towel or as a summer blanket, on the beach, for a picnic or as a tablecloth.
