These friendly bird chopstick holders are a design by Masahiro Mori for the Japanese porcelain manufacturer Hakusan. They look good anywhere - on the dining table, on the desk or even on the bedside table.
Hakusan Porcelain Co., Ltd. was founded in 1779 in Hasami, Nagasaki Prefecture, and has existed in its present form since 1958.
Under the leadership of designer Masahiro Mori, Hakusan was the leading porcelain producer in post-war Japan. The company has a long tradition of producing high-quality porcelain products and has been awarded prizes such as "Good Design" and "Long Life Design".
