The bangle 'BJM' by Christian Metzner is actually made of glass, but laboratory glass, which is particularly light and durable. Initially cool on the skin, the bangle quickly absorbs body heat and is comfortable to wear and very robust. Transparent, gold- or silver-coated - the minimalist design and formal austerity of the bangles evoke associations with ancient Roman jewelry as well as modern sculptural objects.
Christian Metzner, who studied architecture and product design, founded his own label in 2006. Always in search of perfect proportions and precision craftsmanship, his work oscillates between technical-looking laboratory aesthetics and classic elegance.
