The 'Arare' tumbler by Hirota Glass draws on a traditional Japanese pattern originally found on iron kettles. Small, regularly spaced raised dots combine with a subtle floral motif reminiscent of Japanese plum blossoms. The soft, milky-white hue gives the glass a special charm.
The textured pattern not only makes the glass a tactile delight but also allows light to dance across its surface. As a generously sized tumbler it's suitable for water, tea and cold drinks, as well as dessert.
Hirota Glass was founded in Tokyo in 1899 and is one of the pioneers of Japanese glassware. Hirota Glass has created its own style by harmonizing traditional European glass manufacturing technology with Japanese glass art, while remaining true to its classic designs.
