Sargadelos has been manufacturing porcelain in Galicia, Spain for over 200 years. Founded in the early 19th century by the Marquis of Sargadelos, the porcelain production was revived and renewed in the mid-20th century. At its two locations in O Castro, Sada and Sargadelos, Crevo, elaborately designed tableware, figurines and jewelry are still made with the traditional porcelain formula and decorated by hand. All Sargadelos pieces are recognizable thanks to their unique colors and shapes that have their origins in the Galician culture. The decoration of the Sargadelos porcelain is applied by hand and by airbrushing the paint using stencils. This creates a unique style of decoration with particularly bright colors.
