The 'Rhode Chandelier Earrings' are handcrafted from 18k gold-plated sterling silver. The earrings swing slightly, catching the light and balance three replicas from a small Greek coin from 350/300 BC. BC, islands in front of Caria, Rhodes. A profile portrait of Rhode - the nymph of the island of Rhodes - is pictured on the obverse of the coin and a rosebud or a hibiscus on the reverse.
The Berlin-based designer Elisabeth Schotte creates delicate, narrative pieces of timeless elegance. Found treasures and ancient stories inspire her modern jewelry, a series of new talismans and modern ex-voto.
