Marco Sironi has designed 'Piuma' for the Italian glass manufacturer Ichendorf Milano. Sironi's experience in glass and interior design and as an architect come together here; in his view, apart from usability and formal values, every object must be coherent with its materials and production processes.
The word 'Piuma' means 'feather' in Italian, and the tableware series is correspondingly light and elegant. This modern duo of tea cup and saucer is perfect for serving hot drinks and elegant afternoon tea. It's a distinctive addition to your table and looks great with its matching pitcher.
Ichendorf is a glass manufacturer with a history of over 100 years, which was founded in Cologne in the early 20th century. In 1990, the company moved the Ichendorf Style Center to Milan, Italy.
Here, the creative ideas of artists and designers are transformed from a sheet of paper into the works of glassblowers who realize the fusion of artisanal technique and modern design.
