Ornaments for tree branches are an ancient Christmas custom. Edible fruits and crafted flowers were the first proven forms of tree ornaments. From the 16th century, the popularity of the Christmas tree, and therefore Christmas tree ornaments, increased, many ornament shapes imitated the former real fruits and nuts, and over time the range of shapes of traditional glass blowing Christmas ornaments has constantly expanded.
These glass ornaments for but not limited to the Christmas tree are made traditionally and by hand by a Polish family business. Artistry and time needed for production are reflected in their unique quality. Each piece is mouth-blown, then injected with liquid silver and thus silver-plated from the inside. After an initial glaze and drying, each piece is then painted by hand, layer by layer and finally glittered.
