'Yukinohana' means snow flower in Japanese. The tumbler with a delicate, mint blue color from the glass series of the same name is still made with shapes from the 1950s. The opalescent color of the rim is handcrafted by reheating the finished glass at its edges and gives each piece its unique appearance. Hirota Glass was founded in Tokyo in 1899 and has established itself as one of the pioneers of Japanese glassware. In recent years, Hirota Glass has created its own style by harmonizing traditional European glass manufacturing technology with Japanese glass art, while remaining true to its classic designs.
