'Villiyrtit' is a sustainable and versatile jacquard linen cloth for everyday use and made in Lapuan Kankurit's own weaving mill in Lapua, Finland. The jacquard pattern, inspired by wild nature, was designed by Matti Pikkujämsä, who was awarded the first Finnish Illustrator of the Year 2019.
The beautiful, relaxed and easy-care material make the linen cloth versatile: it can be used as a tablecloth, but also as a blanket, both on the sofa and on the bed. Light linen blankets are especially suitable for the hot summer days. Washed linen does not need to be ironed, a few wrinkles are allowed and even desirable.
Finnish weaving Lapuan Kankurit is a family business, the opening of the first textile factory of the family dates back to 1917. Lapuan Kankurit emphasizes sustainable development and pure natural materials, responsible and environmentally friendly processes and collaborations with designers. The high quality textiles will keep you happy for decades.
