The 'Venezia' series, designed by Corrado Dotti for the Italian glass manufacturer Ichendorf Milano, is inspired by the 'Rigadin' structure known from Murano glass. The carafe and glasses are handmade from borosilicate glass - a thin glass that is nevertheless stable and temperature-resistant. The objects are blown and shaped "in front of the lamp", ie. at the open burner. The simple elegance of the shape and the fine stripes that underline the handmade character of the series allow simplicity and imperfection to come together as elements of beauty.
