Sargadelos has been manufacturing porcelain in Galicia, Spain for over 200 years. Founded in the early 19th century by the Marquis of Sargadelos, porcelain production was revived and renewed in the mid-20th century. At its two locations in O Castro, Sada and Sargadelos, Crevo, elaborately designed tableware, decorative objects and jewelry are still made with the traditional porcelain formula and decorated by hand. All Sargadelos pieces are recognizable by their unique colors and shapes, which have their origins in Galician culture, and are designs by Galician artists such as Luis Seoane and Isaac Diaz Pardon, co-founder of the modern day Sargadelos. The decoration of the Sargadelos porcelain partly hand-painted and partly applied by airbrushing the paint using stencils. This creates a lively application of paint with particularly bright colors.
