This small bowl in the shape of a bird ('Tori' in Japanese) with spread wings is a design by the famous Japanese designer Yasuki Sakamoto for the porcelain manufacturer 'Hakusan Tuoki', founded in 1779. Like the RIng bowl, it has a beautiful feather pattern on the inside and outside and an elegant pale blue-green glaze. The head and tail are prominent, and the tail can be used as a rest, e.g. for chopsticks. The bowl is well suited to offer dried fruits and nuts, spices and sauces or desserts.
