Universally, the swan is the archetype of grace and beauty. A creature in myth and fairytale, the ugly duckling transforms into a beautiful swan just as we too can change our feathers. The 'Swans of the North' mobile is one of the earliest designs by Flensted from 1956. The delicate, elegant mobile brings lightness and a sense of space to any interior, and it is also a beautiful birth gift. Flendsted Mobiles have been manufactured by residents of the island of Funen in Denmark for 60 years. Started by Grethe and Christian Flensted in 1953, Aase and Ole Flensted are now the second generation to design mobiles in their workshop in Brenderup.
