For over 200 years Sargadelos has been producing porcelain in Galicia, Spain. Founded in the early 19th century by the Marquis of Sargadelos, porcelain production was revived and renewed in the mid-20th century. At its two locations in O Castro, Sada and Sargadelos, Crevo, intricately designed tableware, figurines and jewelry are still made using the traditional porcelain formula and decorated by hand. All Sargadelos pieces are recognizable thanks to their unique colors and shapes that find their origin in Galician culture.
'Cuncha' a series inspired by the scallop shell, which in turn is linked to the classic myth of the birth of Venus, the goddess emerging from the sea, exuding a special fascination and elegance.
