Rina Ono, an architect and designer by training, founded her design studio in 2007 to create things that have a greater impact on users' daily lives. In collaboration with porcelain manufacturers Miyama and Oda Pottery, she developed Mizu-mizu, a new tableware series. This collection combines elegance with practicality, drawing inspiration from Japanese traditions in a modern approach.
Mizu-mizu comes in two different colors, an elegant bluish white and a light brown. Many old and antique japanese porcelain items have a blue-white or a caramel brown color. With mizu-mizu, the designer brings these traditional colors and their texture into the present and gives them a contemporary form.
