Satoshi Yamashita, cutler in Kochi Prefecture, Japan, designed the Kujira knives as a beginner's knife for young people to sharpen pencils and practice other light cutting jobs. The beautiful all-purpose and chef's knives are handmade in Tosa and, despite their playful appearance, have an exceptionally sharp blade. The knives are still made using traditional methods. All operations such as forging, forming, quenching, hardening and polishing are done by Satoshi Yamashita himself.
