These poetic chopsticks (or cutlery) rests are a design from the 'Essence' series by the Japanese porcelain designer Kaoru Tao Abe, and are made in the porcelain city of Hasami, Nagasaki.
With their shape of flying birds, they create a feeling of gentleness and serenity - when you have guests it looks like a flock of birds is flying over the dining table. The chopstick rests are made of glazed porcelain, the chopsticks can be placed perfectly in the dent on the top.
The shelves are easy to clean in the dishwasher and are a nice addition to everyday life. Each set contains five birds.
